It's time to HATCH another business! The Comerica Hatch Detroit Contest is an opportunity for one savvy entrepreneur to win a $50,000 grant to open their brick and mortar retail business in Detroit, Highland Park, or Hamtramck. But our support doesn't stop with the winner. Businesses who have placed in the Top 10 Semi-Finalist round are invited into our Hatch Alumni program, where we work to connect you to the people and resources you need to get your doors open.
We invite applicants to come learn more about this opportunity and to bring along the application for direct feedback & coaching from some of Detroit's best business support resources.
Tickets for the Application Workshop will be provided on a first come first serve basis. Only the first 25 will be coached. FREE BUT**MUST REGISTER IN ADVANCE, TICKETS HERE.
How should I prepare for this workshop?
Bring along your printed application! To get the most out of your time with our experts, you should have most -- if not all -- of the application filled out and come prepared with specific questions on the application and logistics behind opening up your storefront business.
If you want feedback specific to your business and plan, you MUST have your application started in Reviewr, our online application system. We will be asking our judges to log in to review your work five days before each workshop to take an initial look and formulate feedback.
Which session should I attend?
Please attend the workshop closest to the location you'd like to open your storefront. Because space is limited, we ask that you only attend ONE session.
Is my registration/ticket transferrable?
Yes, however only those with a ticket will be eligible for a coaching session.
Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event?
Yes, please bring your printed and/or electronic ticket to the event.
