Join us for a literary evening about place, home and identity that explores the common ground between Detroit and Appalachia. Besides their rich labor histories and socioeconomic realities, the two places are linked by the “Hillbilly Highway” migration of the mid-20th century. With a lineup of extraordinary writers and musicians from North and South, urban and rural, this evening will celebrate the art that grows from our common experiences.
