Renowned lecturer and Ukrainian affairs expert Vera Andrushkiv will speak about "Holodomor" the great famine perpetrated by the Soviets which killed millions of Ukrainians.The presentation will be preceded by a musical performance on the "bandura," Ukrainian national instrument similar to a mandolin. Beautiful original Ukrainian posters from the collection of the Ukrainian Archive and Museum in Hamtramck will be on display.
Throughout the exhibition "The Wall Speaks- Voices of the Unheard" The artist and Bank Suey are curating a series of discussions, events, and workshops around the themes of marginalized voices and bridging communities.
